ADS Acquires Computers Plus

04/04/2008 Computers Plus, a computer retailer, repair service, and network services company in Mountain Home has been acquired by Advanced Detection Systems, Inc., with the transition to become finalized May 1. Computers Plus will become the Information Technology Division of ADS and Scott Phelps, owner of Computers Plus will become the manager of the newly formed division.

The acquisition will supplement the companies existing offering of electronic technology services. Additionally, the new IT division will allow the company to better serve our security clients as security systems become more tightly integrated with other digital systems.

ADS is already heavily involved in low-voltage systems for the home and business, and adding computer services to its menu of offerings will allow the end-user a one-stop solution for security alarm service, surveillance camera systems, remote access control, as well as basic home and office computer networking.

The new division will also offer computer sales and service at the main office located at 726 Highway 5 North in Mountain Home. All technicians are certified and all repairs carry a standard warranty. Additionally, an inventory of common computer components, such as routers, monitors, keyboards, cables, etc. will be maintained for retail sale.
