ADS Donates Custom Security System to Fallen Police Officer

6/03/2009

Nashville, TN – After being critically injured while investigating a domestic assault case in 2006, Officer Danita Marsh was celebrated for her bravery in June of 2009 with a brand new, fully-accessible home presented by the 100 Club of Nashville, including a custom security system from ADS. Marsh was left paralyzed from the waist down, and the 100 Club, an organization that provides financial help to families of fallen police officers, was happy to step in with the help of ADS and other local businesses to provide her with a home that would meet her new physical needs.

“Contributing to the lives of those citizens who better our community is important to ADS and that’s why we are honored to have partnered with the 100 Club on Officer Marsh’s new home,” said ADS Regional Vice President, Craig Leyers. ADS provided full installation of the security system donated by partner Honeywell, including an alarm panel, door and window contacts, keypads, smoke detectors, glass break detectors and voice alarm remote controls. ADS also offered Marsh reduced monthly monitoring of the system to help keep her new home safe.

ADS attended the ceremony on June 3rd which presented Marsh with the deed to her new home and honored all of the local businesses that helped contribute to the project. “I did what a bunch of officers do every day; I got up and went to work,” Marsh said while addressing the ceremony attendees. “True heroes are people who give nothing; they give their time, money, their efforts, they say prayers. Those are the true heroes.”
