ADS Security has acquired customer accounts from DetectAlert, Inc. of Melbourne, Florida. The purchase adds approximately 1,300 accounts to the ADS Melbourne customer base. ADS launched operations in Melbourne in 2007 with the acquisition of Advanced Detection Systems.
“Growing our southernmost presence is an important part of our expansion plan and we are proud to be partnering with a Florida security company like DetectAlert,” said John Cerasuolo, ADS President and CEO. “DetectAlert has an outstanding local presence and company values that will merge seamlessly with ADS.”
The purchase of DetectAlert is the third purchase for ADS this year, following the acquisition of about 3,000 accounts in Sanford, North Carolina and 1,300 accounts in Northport, Alabama. In 2015, ADS acquired security companies in Alabama, South Carolina, Tennessee and Georgia totaling approximately 6,500 accounts.
DetectAlert customers will have access to the ADS advanced suite of residential and commercial security and automation services, including mobile management, smart home technologies, video surveillance and access control solutions; proprietary UL-listed1, CSAA2 Five Diamond monitoring center located in Nashville, Tennessee; and My ADS customer portal with simple online account management.
“When my wife and I decided it was time to retire, it was important to us to find a buyer that had the same focus on providing top quality protection and prompt, personal service, at affordable prices,” said DetectAlert owner John Black. ”We believe ADS Security is the best choice to continue delivering an outstanding experience to our customers into the future.”
The purchased accounts will be serviced out of the ADS-Melbourne office located at 4356 Fortune Place in West Melbourne, Florida. DetectAlert customers are currently being introduced and welcomed to ADS.
